heart - poem

the water says come
she has a lover on land
though she's never held his hand

his love is the sea
he longs to see her
though he's planted inside on a bed with a big TV

though the shows are great,
he can only think of her
his long lost lover, kept at bay by the great river

she talks with the others, and though it is fun
she's kept back, afloat beneath a red hot sun

two lovers
never touched
though this time,

the heart is enough
